New Year’s Eve in Prague

January 4, 2013

Prague is a popular destination during the Christmas holidays, and the same goes for the New Year’s Eve. To spend a New Year’s Eve in the magic capital of Czech Republic may be a very good idea. There are a lot of reasons why go to Prague to celebrate the New Year. One of the good reasons to spend New Year’s Eve in Prague is money. Prague is inexpensive, especially when it comes to food and drink. Some visitors as well as locals choose a restaurant with an all-inclusive night of fine food, drinks and dancing.

Czechs are fans of fireworks. Prague belongs to the big cities where a tradional New Year’s Eve fireworks is fired. In last two years, the fireworks show moved to the city center near the Charles Bridge (Karlův most). The light effects were fired from a pontoon anchred on the Vltava river.

Nicest places where to observe this beautiful fire show is along the Vltava River, Charles Bridge and even better vantage points which are Petrin Hill and Castle Hill.

Prague is a great destination for a New Year’s Eve party celebration – we hope you enjoy it too! The Prague hotels and all other accommodations during Christmas and the New Years celebration period are almost always fully booked. If your thinking of visiting Prague during this period please make a hotel reservation in advance.
